Summer Fun & Games

 Programs

Tuesdays, June 14-July 26

12-2 p.m.
Cost: FREE to Elmhurst Heritage Foundation Members; $3 Non-Members

Location: Elmhurst History Museum Education Center

Join us each week for a fun craft or game activity in our Education Center! Drop-in programs for kids age 3-12. Children must be accompanied by a caregiver.

Tuesday Family Picnics

Location: Elmhurst History Museum Grounds

BYO picnic and a blanket for the lawn, and we’ll provide a sweet treat and complimentary juice box (while supplies last) to enjoy on the Museum grounds during Summer Fun & Games programs.

Make a Commercial


Wednesdays: June 22, July 6 and July 20
Time: 3:00–4:00 p.m.
Cost: FREE!  Age: Kids entering grades 3-8
Location: Elmhurst Public Library, 125 S. Prospect Ave.

It slices, it dices, it makes thousands of Julienne fries—but wait, there’s more! Make a commercial for one of the library’s great products, or for a product of your imagination. Register as an individual or as a group. We’ll help you videotape your commercial and show it at the Elmhurst Public Library’s Student Film Festival on August 26. Participants do not have to attend every session. Register for one of the available dates with your valid Elmhurst Public Library card in person, at 630-279-8696 or online. Registration begins Saturday, May 28 at 9:00 a.m.

Ingenious Inventions Incubator


Friday, July 29
Time: 2:00–3:00 p.m.
Cost: FREE!  Age: Kids entering grades 3-8
Location: Elmhurst Public Library, 125 S. Prospect Ave.

Come invent something amazing in our Invention Incubator. We’ll have pre-owned electronics to tinker with, and other materials to let your inventive juices go wild. Take home your creation at the end of the program. No previous invention experience needed. Register with your valid Elmhurst Public Library card beginning Saturday, July 16 at 9:00 a.m.
