Six Pillars of Character
The City of Elmhurst participates in the community-wide Character Counts initiative to advocate core ethical values through the six pillars of character:
Integration
Character Counts in Elmhurst seeks to integrate these pillars of character into our government, schools, sports programs, religious institutions, and businesses.

Other Participants
The City participates with School District 205, the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce, the Elmhurst Park District, and Elmhurst College in this program.
