The Elmhurst Public Library
The Elmhurst Public Library, located at 125 S. Prospect, houses 230,000 books, in addition to compact discs, videos, music and book cassettes, magazines and newspapers. The reference collection, one of the largest in the western suburbs, includes access to more than 50 online information databases. Hours: Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and Sunday, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Night owl telephone reference service (630-279-8696) is available from closing until midnight seven days a week.
