City Centre: In the heart of Elmhurst, starts just south of the railroad tracks and runs north to North Ave. on York and Addison streets and includes all east/west streets in between. Choose from a large variety of restaurants, catch a movie in a restored theatre, spend time browsing in shops or just relax in the plaza by our fountain.

Vallette and York Roads: In addition to established stores and businesses, Elmhurst has a brand new shopping strip mall with a children's store, spa salon, drug store, and a café for breakfast and lunch with homemade food and much more.

South Elmhurst: At Butterfield and York Roads, has several smaller restaurants, a Jewel Food Store, three ice cream parlors, several fast food establishments and other shops.

North Elmhurst: Starting north of North Ave. and continuing to Grand Ave., has several small strip malls. A variety of stores, businesses, car rentals, fast food chains and fine restaurants make up the majority of this area. Also located in this area is the Holiday Inn Hotel. In this same area on Lake St., between York Rd. and Route 83, are several very good restaurants, and the AmeriSuite Hotel.

Spring Road: This are is a very active district. There are two restaurants, a bakery, several local bars, an antique store (which has outstanding furniture, dishes, etc.) and an ice cream parlor plus other local businesses. This is also the street that hosts the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade, the Elmhurst Pet Parade, Maxwell Street Days and Music at the Gazebo.

Route 83 and North Avenue: This corner is one of the busiest intersections in DuPage County and has five restaurants, several fast food establishments, and a Courtyard by Marriott.

Elmhurst Crossing: Located at the corner of Route 83 and St. Charles Road, this is our newest shopping mall showcasing restaurants, a shoe store, Dominick's Food Store, Pier One, Kohl's, and K-Mart.
