Elgin O'Hare - West Bypass Public Info

The Illinois Department of Transportation has initiated the Elgin O'Hare-West Bypass study in DuPage and Cook counties. The study will include consideration of the potential extension of the Elgin O'Hare Expressway east of IL 53/I-290 and a potential new western bypass of O'Hare Airport, along with consideration of a full range of potential transportation system alternatives.

Moving Beyond Congestion - Strategic Plan For Transit

The RTA, in partnership with the CTA, Metra and Pace has launched the Moving Beyond Congestion Project, a comprehensive regional strategic planning effort. This effort will evaluate how public transportation will best fit as a component of a larger transportation network that serves our region's travel needs.

2008 Citizen Survey Results

In 1994, with budget authority from the City Council, city staff developed and coordinated the first City of Elmhurst biennial citizen survey to determine satisfaction with community services. Information obtained through this and subsequent surveys provide an indication of the citizens' perceptions of quality and value of services provided, as well as their observations regarding the community's strengths and weaknesses, and problems they feel the community will face in the next five years.

Municipal Code - Chapter 13 (Animal Control)
Section 13.02 - Amended

BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Elmhurst, DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois as follows:

That section 13.02 of the Elmhurst Municipal Code is amended by adding language to subparagraph (2) of the definition of "Restraint", as follows:

For purposes of this ordinance, an electric or radio fence, also known as an "invisible fence", shall not be deemed an enclosure, confinement or restraint.
