The objective of the use of social media by the City of Elmhurst or its departments is to broaden the communication reach and to facilitate communication between the City and its residents, business owners and the general public, so that interested citizens may also share the City’s information. The City’s social media sites serve as a source of news from the City to citizens, and are not intended to be used as an outlet for online discussions or public forums.
