Senior Services
The City's Senior Commission makes recommendations to the City Council in regards to ordinances relating to senior citizens. They investigate the needs and concerns of senior citizens and provide educations programs for those citizens. Below are several projects that are supported or have been development with the involvement of this Commission.
City of Elmhurst Senior Safety Symposium
The City of Elmhurst and the City’s Senior Citizens Commission present an event catered to safety and City services we offer related to our senior citizen residents. This new event will be held on April 26th at 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church (149 W. Brush Hill Rd., Elmhurst). Presenters will include members of our police, fire, and public works departments as well as representatives from Metropolitan Family Services, Elmhurst Park District, and the DuPage Senior Council. In conjunction with the presentations, vendors and demonstrations will occur outside of the auditorium. This is a great opportunity for senior residents to learn more about the services specific to their needs.
