The Historic Preservation Ordinance for the City of Elmhurst was adopted in 2006. The ordinance provides a mechanism for the identification, designation and protection of buildings and other sites determined to be of historical or architectural significance to the City.  If you are interested in learning more about the landmark designation process for your property please contact the City Planner at (630) 530-3121.

Elmhurst Architectural Resources Surveys

The Elmhurst Historic Preservation Commission has conducted architectural resource surveys over the years. Below are the results of two recently completed surveys in Elmhurst.
